The Arts Society Lunesdale was formed in 2003 as the Lunesdale Decorative and Fine Arts Society (LDFAS), an affiliated society of the then NADFAS (National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies), which has since become The Arts Society.

Kirkby Lonsdale Arts Society was established in 1972 for the general advancement and appreciation of art. The group meet on Thursday evenings from October to April and there is an Annual Exhibition of members’ work every summer.
